I Found A Teaser For The Movie I'm In!!!!

It only took me like a year and a half to find it but I did it!! Seriously, this movie has been in production for at least two years now and I am as happy as a school girl to see it will finally hit stages.
My dance community (Westcoast Swing) put their hearts and souls into this movie and everybody is now hoping that the dance can finally get the recognition it deserves. I can't wait!!! Here is the teaser!

What have I been up to recently.....??? To be totally honest I have been doing a whole lot of nothing and playing WoW (World of Warcraft). Clown all you want but at least I am saving money for once.
Other than that I have been thinking about getting a new tattoo. I am torn right now between something that is Celtic (my heritage) or something that is new age. If I were to New Age I would have to roll with something that is similar to the artwork of Greg Simpkins. This dude makes the most off the wall art and I love it! Check it out....

Gabriel's Birthday 9-25-08 (Sweet 16)!!!

So I am sure you are all wondering what I got him.........Right? Well, let me start off by what happened. I have been so broke recently that I seriously think about eating ketchup packets just to get nourishment so to think about buying presents on top paying all my bills was a little scary. I still managed to get him what he wanted but not without having to push one bill back........Which, I still think Mimi is still upset about.
I got him a hundreds blue pinstripe hat. Do you know how hard that was to get, especially in his head's size?! Gabriel is tiny and so is his head so trying to find a hat that will fit that is like getting a hole-in-one in golf; it doesn't happen that often......if ever. The hundreds (Which I have blogged about in the past)is a California based company that sells exclusive hip hop gear and started off being one of the little guys in the clothing companies but through gorilla marketing they were able to make their brand of clothing popular. They are compared to being the Johnny Cupcakes of the westcoast ( I am sure they are going to hate me for saying that).
I am also planning on scoring some Gym Class Heroe's concert tickets so he and I can run around like goobs listening to our favorite tunes. Nothing like a night out on the town with two Toepels loose. Anyways, that's the plan and I am sticking to it.
I am dropping the gifts off tonight so I hope he doesn't read this post before I get them to him so I enjoy the " It's like you read my mind" look on his face when I hand them to him. Sweet! Check ya later!

Craziest Work Week Ever!!

This week has been complete hell for me! I don't wish what has happened to me on anyone. I first had to rip out the insides of the program that I am the forte on and rebuild the whole inner being of my work tool. Then I had to present it today to the company that is buying us out and it wasn't at it's full capacity. Rrrrraaaaahhhh!

Blah, Blah, Blah, and here is a cool picture I found while I was at work.
It's me with the one and only "Torch".....Nice!!

Patch and The Quilt

So yesterday was a normal day and I was all like "Boring!!" and it was the same old same old with Cory (The Gieco Caveman) and I. We would sit there in our respective seats at work high above the others and just wonder what other major issue could happen in our day. See, Cory and I are Operation Planners for a Staples call center and we trouble shoot, forecast, and everything else under the sun and have to remember it all for the "END OF DAY MEETING". The "END OF DAY MEETING" sucks! One of us has to go to these meetings daily and in it we get question by the Directors in our company about what happened, what was done to fix it, why we did it the way we did, when was it resolved, and why did it take so long..........The best part is the people in the room are usually the ones to blame so we have to beat around the bush and try and present it so no one gets upset and makes our next days workload even harder.

Here is a pic of Cory trying to hide from the camera.....He's scared of the light.

Here is one me

Anywho, so Cory and I flipped a coin and I ended up going (Shit!). Needless to say my day was ruined........or so I though. Then I ran to my computer to see the date. It was the day that Gym Class Heroes released their new Cd called "The Quilt"......Which I so had to buy. I knew that Target always had Cds for dirt cheap, so I flew over in my car and copped me one.

Check it!!

Patch got the Quilt!! Proof!

After all that I had to sit back and relax and enjoy my new tunes brought to you by my favorite band. The moral of my story is no matter how hard you day is remember it's the little things in life that can make you forget all the crap that brings ya down. Try it sometime........You'd be amazed!

A Day At Cherry Creek Reservoir

Mimi and I really didn't have anything planned for early Sunday morning so we decided to head to the Cherry Creek Reservoir to hang out. I am usually kind of skeptical about these things because you think walking in the park should be free but they usually charge you for these things. Anywho, we headed out to at about 10:00am and took the kids with us.

It takes about fifteen minutes for us to drive there but it is really nice to see the change from city to park within a short amount of time. When we arrived we saddled up all the kids in their harnesses and started trotting down what appeared to be the longest path I had ever seen.
Path

We walked for about thirty minutes around the reservoir to find the perfect spot for us to let the poopies go free. Mimi was such a goof, she took off her shoes and went into the water (Which was kind of nuts because of all the fish hooks and other dead bodies floating in the water, but it didn't even phase her).

Here are some of the pictures I took from my camera:

Here is one of Adaen....One of the many

Here is one of Mimi telling me she was going in the water.......Ewww

Oh! Can you tell that I hate the sun? It goes so well with my white skin.....

Here is one of Bailey.....He never touched the water.....What a baby!

The water was a little clearer than this but it also had the sun shining off of it

We hung around for a while and then some lady with her two big dogs (just a ways down from us) caught the eye of the park rangers so they came over and told her to put her dogs on a leash and then eyeballed us at the same time........So we left. We started on our expedition back up the path (AKA the Oregon Trail) to our car. It felt like it only took five minutes to get back though....Weird. When we got to the car we noticed all the guys panting there hearts out so we knew it was going to be a quite afternoon because they exhausted themselves by playing around near the water.

When we got home, they literally lasted about five minutes and they were out. Mimi and I finally got some well deserved one on one time (Not what you think you sick-os) and just had some tea and relaxed. I think next week we are going to do it again. It was well worth our money ($0) and our time.........I loved it!

Street Art

Just so you all know I love art. To me a piece of art is something that stirs the imagination when you look at it. I happen to enjoy what most people consider "graffiti". I love to stop and take pictures of various parts of town that have been graced with an artist's brainstorm. I support this artwork where others would consider it a crime.

What I consider a crime is using combining street artist with the gang and simple scribe writers that tag the neighborhoods. You will typical see this type of tag in alleyways and other old buildings that would determine a gang's turf. To me, this type of garbage should be considered an criminal offense. I don't see the need for a gang to hit up my house because they want other rival gangs to know where they do their deeds. It will sometimes look like a third grader did the writing.

Gangs

What I like to see and would love to have on my bedroom wall is real art. Something that the artist is proud of and that would actually require some thinking to decipher or inspire my own creativity. When I was in San Diego there were tons of these types of people that thought graffiti was an art form and it wasn't meant to destroy something but to make it beautiful again....Hell, that is why a lot of the work can be seen on rusty trains and broke down factories. Here is an example of artwork.

ART

I have been taking pictures of Denver graffiti artwork and would like to post it on my blog.I would also like to get to meet some of our local artist and ask them what inspires them to do this type of art? If you happen to know any of these artist please hit me up.

I have no artist ability when it comes to drawing and I think that is why I am so attracted to it. I wish I had half the creativity that these artist have.

This is all I could come up with....and it was computer generated...Gosh!
